What do you get when you take a rugged Dodge Ram and add
a Dodge Viper's awesome V10 engine, plus a whack of high-performance
features? The all-new Dodge Ram SRT-10, the fastest pickup
truck on the planet.
In reality, the new 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 is really just
a sports car in a full-size pickup truck body. It handles
like a sports car, is given all the components of a sports
car and includes a style that is pure sports-car extreme.

The 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 is offered in one model.
Interior Features
The most important position in the new Ram SRT-10 is undoubtedly
the driver's. That's where all the action takes place.
With this in mind, the interior design was created from
the driver's perspective outward. When you notice a 500-watt
sound system and see a speedometer that goes up to 150 mph,
you know you're in for a ride.
Exterior Features
The new Dodge Ram SRT-10 is available in black, red and
silver. It rides on unique 22-inch polished aluminum "Viper-style"
wheels, the largest wheels available on a production pickup.
The 2004 Dodge SRT-10 is lowered one-inch in the front
and two-inches in the rear, both to control its ridiculous
speeds and for looks. It also features ground-effect moldings
and "Viper Powered" badges on either side of the
hood scoop.
Performance
The SRT-10 goes from 0-60 mph in just over five seconds.
It uses the Viper's revamped 8.5-liter, 505-cubic inch V10
engine. Mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, it gives
the rear-wheel drive pickup truck 500 horsepower at 5600
rpm and 525 lb-ft of torque at 4200 rpm.
The SRT-10 begins with the stiff hydroformed frame of the
regular Ram and then adds a custom-tuned suspension. New
front and rear strut assemblies and a rear sway bar were
also included to handle the increased cornering loads.
A front fascia with special cooling ducts was seen as an
essential component of the heat-generating V10 under the
SRT-10's hood. So too were Bilstein mono-tube shock absorbers
and performance-tuned springs.
In addition to its massive wheels, the SRT-10 uses 305/40
R22 Pirelli Scorpion tires for extra adhesion-a must with
the type of speed being generated. A rear spoiler is as
much a stabilizing feature as it is a style one.
Safety and Security
The SRT-10 modifies the Ram's brakes, giving the antilock
setup new 15-inch rotors on the front brakes. The rear brakes
are modified Ram Heavy Duty with 14-inch rotors, while both
front and rear brakes feature unique red calipers.
