Adding diversity and power to today's automotive industry, the new 2002 Suzuki SX Sport Crossover Hatchback provides a sporty look and feel combined with top-end performance. And with its prominent rear profile that allows one of the largest rear cargo entries in its class, it is as functional as it is attractive to behold.

Available Models
The four-door 2002 Aerio SX Sport Crossover Hatchback is offered in just the one model this year. But be sure to check out its exciting cousins, too - the versatile Aerio S Sedan and Aerio GS Sedan.

Interior Features
This outstanding little vehicle packs plenty of luxuries and conveniences into its tidy five-passenger package, including sporty front bucket seats, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, three-spoke tilt steering wheel, and a six-speaker AM/FM stereo with in-dash CD player. The Aerio SX Sport Crossover also features below-seat and below-deck storage compartments, dual vanity mirrors, digital instrument display, two-tone velour and mesh upholstery, and rear window defroster and wiper.

Among the key conveniences are the fold-flat, split-folding rear seat with cargo cover, rear seat armrest and - of course - the handy rear liftgate that makes loading and unloading groceries and other assorted cargo a breeze!

Exterior Features
The four-door Aerio SX Sport Crossover Hatchback is built with exquisite, contemporary style and features five-spoke fifteen-inch aluminum wheels, dual power outside mirrors, jewel-type multi-reflector halogen headlights, a sporty rear spoiler, fog lamps, and chrome exhaust tip.

Performance Specifications
Boasting more standard horsepower than the matrix, Protege5, or Focus Wagon, the impressive Suzuki SX Sport Crossover Hatchback packs a 2.0-litre, aluminum DOHC, 16-valve, four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and 135 lbs-ft of torque. Among its performance features are liquid-filled engine mounts, power steering, and direct ignition system.

The SX Sport Crossover comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission with a fuel economy rating of 26/32 mpg (city/hwy). The optional four-speed automatic transmission checks in at a respectable 26/31 mpg (city/hwy).

Safety and Security
With safety a high priority these days, Suzuki steps up to the plate with a remote keyless entry system, child safety seat anchors, front seatbelt pretensioners and height-adjustable shoulder belts. Each hatchback also features a unibody structure with integrated crumple zones, steel reinforced passenger compartment, second-generation dual air bags, and daytime running lights.
