2003 Suzuki Aerio - used car search

Visit Suzuki for more information on the Suzuki Aerio.

Two words could be used to sum up the new 2003 Suzuki Aerio. Room and power. For a compact class automobile, the Aerio manages to pack in alot of headroom and punch under the hood with seeming effortlessness. Try over 40 inches of front seat legroom, and 36 inches in the back - more than most other cars in its class. Also available this year is optional all-wheel drive (AWD), again setting it apart from all other cars in its class. Three more words: sporty, stylish, fun.

Available Models
There are two four-door models available to the Aerio consumer: the 2003 Suzuki Aerio Sedan, and the wagon/hatchback style Aerio-SX. The Sedan further avails itself with two trim options: S and GS.

Interior Features
Inside both models, Sedan and SX, standard interior features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, CD stereo system, tilt steering wheel, and tachometer. In the Sedan you get a split-folding rear seat, and under seat storage bin. In the SX, there's a fold flat split-folding rear seat with cargo cover, and storage below seat and deck. Inside the GS and SX trims you can find upgrades for cruise control, a 6-disc in-dash CD player, height adjustable driver's seat, and power door locks.

Exterior Features
The stylish exterior of the 2003 Suzuki Aerio S includes 15-inch aluminum wheels, and multi-reflector halogen headlamps. Up the line to the GS and SX trims you can find alloy wheels, fog lamps, chrome exhaust tip, and a sporty rear spoiler to remind you what's under the hood. On the rear window of the SX, there is also a wiper/washer for your convenience.

Performance
Both models present the same power-packed engine. 2.0-litre, 16 valve, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder engine with 141 horsepower @ 5700 rpm and 135 ft-lb of torque @ 3000 rpm. Also included is a zero-maintenance, self-adjusting, two-stage timing chain. Unleaded fuel mileage rings in at 26/33 (city/hwy) mpg. Transmissions avail in 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

Safety and Security
Safety features of the 2003 Suzuki Aerio start with second-generation dual airbags, daytime running lights, remote keyless entry, and height adjustable shoulder belts. The passenger compartment is steel reinforced, while the unibody structure integrates crumple zones.

2003 Suzuki Aerio Highlights

Available on both the GS sedan and five-door SX sport- crossover versions of the Aerio, the new Suzuki QuadGrip™ All-wheel-drive System ensures that all of the Aerio's powerful 145 horsepower is put to the pavement.
Standard features on the Aerio sedan include air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, six-disc in-dash CD player with six speakers, tilt steering wheel, intermittent windshield wipers, rear window defroster, split-folding rear seatbacks, multiple cup holders and an all-digital instrument panel with outside ambient temperature display and clock. A four-speed automatic transmission is the sole option available on the Aerio S.
Move up to the GS sedan or SX trim levels and you'll also find 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels, power door locks, six-disc in-dash CD changer, cruise control, keyless remote entry, fog lamps, rear spoiler, height-adjustable driver's seat and front map lights. Options are an anti-lock braking system, four-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (automatic transmission required).
Aerio rides on MacPherson Strut suspension front and rear in the interest of performance, ride comfort and packaging efficiency. This layout delivers all the attributes that are critical in a small car: good ride quality, predictable handling and dense suspension packaging to free up more room for passengers and cargo. To help filter out road noise and vibration, the front and rear suspension pivot on specially mounted subframes to better isolate the passenger cabin.
Transferable 7-year/100,000 Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty.
