The 2002 Ford ZX2 Coupe lines up this year with
one sexy model that is available in several different packages
to suit your dreams - the Standard Series, Deluxe Series,
and Premium Package. Its sleek design and bold lines are

Interior Features
Standard fare on the two-door 2002 Ford ZX2 Coupe
includes an AM/FM stereo with cassette player, low-back
front bucket seats, and a center console with two cupholders
and a handy storage bin. The rear liftgate offers easy access
to the cargo area, which has a capacity of 11.8 cubic feet
and features low clearance to allow effortless loading and
unloading. To expand the cargo area even more while seating
a passenger in the back, the rear seat splits 60/40 and
folds down.
The Deluxe series takes the base package and tags on the
comfort of air conditioning, floor mats, tilt steering wheel,
map lights and speed control. The Premium package adds power
windows, power door locks, and a convenient remote keyless
entry system. Options on the Premium Package list supple
leather upholstery and a six-disc trunk-mounted CD changer.
Exterior Features
Three new colors are offered to spruce up the
2002 Ford ZX2. Adding to the aerodynamic shape is a rear
spoiler, with the sporty effect highlighted by fifteen-inch
aluminum wheels. Both the front and rear polycarbonate bumpers
are color-coordinated, and the glass is solar tinted.
Performance
The 2002 Ford ZX2 Coupe is equipped with a 2.0-litre,
sixteen-valve, DOHC, four-cylinder Zetec engine with variable
valve timing that cruises to the tune of 130 horsepower
and 127 lbs-ft of torque.
The standard transmission is five-speed manual with overdrive,
with an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission
available as an option. Each vehicle features front-wheel
drive, power rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel independent
suspension. Cornering is sharp and clean due to the front
and rear stabilizer bars.
Safety and Security
Each ZX2 Coupe is built with front and rear crumple
zones, side impact door beams, and a cross-car beam. Standard
safety features continue with three-point seatbelts, a driver
depowered air bag, and a passenger depowered air bag. ABS
brakes are available as an option.
