that with a VTEC engine to achieve 117 horsepower and 111

with a VTEC engine that produces 127 horsepower and 114
lb-ft of torque.
All four models are front-wheel drive and feature a standard
five-speed manual transmission with optional four-speed
automatic on all by the HX Coupe. The HX model is equipped
with a continuously variable transmission.
Safety and Security
Each Honda Civic Coupe is backed by an immobilizer
theft deterrent system, driver air bag, passenger air bag,
optional side impact air bags, front and rear three-point
seatbelts, child safety locks, and child seat tethers and

each vehicle is designed with front and rear crumple zones,
and reinforced with side impact door beams. Adding to this,
the Civic EX features ABS brakes.
