engine that has an output of 127 horsepower and 134 lb-ft
of torque. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual
for good acceleration, with a responsive four-speed automatic
offered up as an option. For great control and handling,
each vehicle is equipped with power rack-and-pinion steering,
MacPherson strut front suspension, and five-link coil-spring
rear suspension. Sixteen-inch sport-styled steel wheels
finish it off, with sixteen-inch aluminum alloy wheels available
as an option.
The Vitara 4WD models feature the additional benefits of
shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive so that you can power
through adverse road conditions like mud and snow easily
and confidently, making it a tremendously versatile vehicle.
