Truly one of the most versatile family and recreational vehicles out there today, the new 2002 Pontiac Aztek Sport Utility Vehicle takes a unique and thorough approach to sensibility and functionality for those with a zest for life and adventure. An incredible array of features and options are available, and the 2002 Pontiac Aztek comes in many packages to suit your lifestyle requirements perfectly.

Available Models
The 2002 Pontiac Aztek SUV is offered in two different models - Aztek Front-Wheel Drive and 2002 Pontiac Aztek All-Wheel drive. Four package options are available, along with five "lifestyle" packages - Biking Lifestyle Package, Camping Lifestyle Package, Hiking Lifestyle Package, Sport Appearance Package, and Skiing Package.

Interior Features
Among the standard features on a base model 2002 PontiacAztek SUV are a tilt steering wheel, convenience net, power door locks, power deck lid release, power windows, console cooler, air conditioning, cargo security cover, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player. Subsequent packages add everything from deep tinted glass to cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, leather upholstery, sliding rear cargo tray, six-way power driver's and passenger's seats, heated front seats, and a premium audio system.

Exterior Features
The sporty appearance of the 2002 Pontiac Aztec SUV is highlighted by packages that include a roof rack system, dual power outside mirrors, center high-mounted LED stop lamp, composite halogen head lights, and front fog lights. Each vehicle is equipped with all-season steel-belted radials and, depending on the package, sixteen-inch or seventeen-inch cast aluminum wheels.

Performance
The Aztek SUV packs a substantial 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine that cranks out an impressive 185 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a four-speed electronically controlled automatic that responds quickly and seamlessly to changes in driving demands.

The Front-Wheel Drive model is built with a trailing twist beam axle with integral anti-roll bar in the rear, and an independent strut suspension with coil spring and anti-roll bar up front. The Versatrak All-Wheel Drive provides a rear independent short and long control arm suspension with coil springs and anti-roll bar. With more power directed to all fours, the All-Wheel Drive model is a great solution to the challenges of tough terrain and weather conditions that create snow and mud.

Safety and Security
Every Pontiac Aztek SUV is equipped with side impact door beams, safety-cage construction, driver air bag, passenger air bag, and side impact air bags. As well, the Aztek features ABS brakes, child safety locks in the rear seating area, three-point seatbelts at all seating positions, and child seat tethers and anchors.
