Already a crowd pleaser the sporty Ford Fusion should turn even more heads in 2009 with the addition of more standard features and increased safety options to its already impressive list of features.

Available Models
There are three models available for the 2009 Ford Fusion - the S, SE and SEL models. The SE and SEL models come in an I4, V6 FWD or V6 AWD configurations while the S comes as a FWD I4 model.

For added personality the Blue Suede Package is available in 2009 for FWD SE and SEL models - it features Charcoal Black interior, Alcantara® blue suede seat and door panel trim inserts, ambient lighting, 18 inch painted wheels and metallic exterior paint colors: Sports Blue, Dark Ink Blue, Tuxedo Black and Brilliant Silver.

Interior Features
The Ford Fusion boasts a beautiful interior with clean lines and crisp instrumentation. The bucket seats come in either cloth or optional leather trim.

For 2009 ambient lighting is standard on the SEL models which allows the driver to personalize the interior with accent lighting to the front and rear foot wells as well as the inside of the cup holders, seven colors are available to switch between - red, orange, blue, violet, green, indigo and yellow.

Exterior Features
The appearance of the Fusion is very sporty with the 3-bar chrome front grille, quad halogen head lights, fog lights and available rear deck spoiler and moonroof.
A Sport Appearance Package is also available that includes two new exterior colors White Suede and Vapor Silver.

Performance
Under the hood of the 2009 Ford Fusion one of two engines will be found the 160 horsepower 2.3 Liter I4 or a 221 horsepower 3.0L V6. The available transmissions are a 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic and 6-speed automatic depending on which engine and model is selected. Both engines have excellent fuel economy and emissions ratings with the I4 manual getting 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

SE and SEL models are available in FWD or AWD.

AdvanceTrac® electronic stability control is now available for increased handling and performance.

Safety and Security
The lengthy list of safety features for the 2009 Ford Fusion include but are not limited to: Ford's Personal Safety System™ featuring a system of six standard air bags - dual stage front passenger and driver , thorax side air bags for the front row and side impact curtains, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, BeltMinder™, Traction control and Anti lock brake system.

Standard security features include SecuriLock™ Passive Anti-Theft System which requires the factory issued coded ignition key to start the vehicle also standard is an Anti-theft perimeter alarm system.
