of model and package combinations available to please every
driver.
Available Models
Six models of the Pontiac G6 are available for 2009 - the
base G6 model, the Pontiac G6 GT available in sedan, coupe
and convertible form and the G6 GXP available in a sedan
or coupe model. There is a wide range of packages available
for the various Pontiac G6 models including: The Sport Package
1, Sport Package 2, Preferred Package, Sun and Sound Package
and the Sun and Sound Plus Package.
Interior Features
Inside the comfortable 2009 Pontiac G6 you will find standard
features such as air conditioning, AM/FM/CD player with
auxiliary audio jacks for iPod/Mp3 players.
Exterior Features
At first glance the 2009 Pontiac G6 gives an athletic, aggressive
stance - the convertible and coupe models have large doors
that allow easy access to the rear seats. If you don't choose
the convertible model but are a lover of the open air a
sunroof is available as an option.
The convertible models feature a hardtop that retracts
in about thirty seconds at the push of a button.
Performance
Four engines are available for the 2009 Pontiac G6 - standard
on the base sedan is a 2.4L I4 engine that outputs 164 horsepower.
A 3.5L V6 engine that cranks out 219 horsepower is optional
on the base models and standard on the GT models. Standard
on all GXP models is a peppy 3.6L V6 engine with 252 horsepower.
Optional on the GT Convertible is a 222 horsepower 3.9 Liter
engine.
A choice of two transmissions - a 4-speed automatic and
a 5-speed manual is available.
Safety and Security
Safety starts from within for the 2009 Pontiac G6 - the
safely cage has been constructed with reinforced rocker
sections, the roof pillars and front body hinge pillars
have been designed to improve impact protection. OnStar
8.0 is standard on all models.
Standard on all G6 models is six airbag supplementary protection
- including dual-stage front air bags, side-impact thorax
air bags and standard head curtain side-impact air bags.
