Back for the Pontiac lineup in 2009 is the Pontiac G8 - a sexy beast of a machine the G8 delivers the performance and handling of a much more expensive sports sedan.

Available Models
Three models are available to choose from - the 2009 Pontiac G5, Pontiac G8 GT and the new G8 GXP.

A sports package is available for the 2009 Pontiac G8 GT that includes features such as a leather wrapped steering wheel and performance tires with 19" aluminum wheels.

Interior Features
Inside the Pontiac G8 is a sporty, comfortable interior - the driver and passenger power adjustable bucket seats deliver excellent comfort for those long journeys. The rear seating includes a rear pass-through with dual cup holders. Cloth surfaces are standard with heated leather seating available. For and extra sporty look GT models have an available two-toned red and black cloth or leather combination.

The instrument cluster is crisp, easy to read and within the drivers direct line of sight.

Exterior Features
The Pontiac G8 has a strong, athletic, sporty stance with such design feature highlights as hood scoops, fog lights, polished stainless steel exhaust tips, dual-port grille and low-profile rear lip spoiler. Four new colors have been added for 2009 Maverick Silver Metallic, Pacific Slate Metallic, Stryker Blue Metallic and Sport Red Metallic.

Performance
Standard on the 2009 Pontiac G8 base model is a 3.6L V6 256 horsepower engine and 5-speed automatic transmission that achieves a fuel economy of 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The Pontiac G8 GT comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and a peppy 361 horsepower 6.0L V6. For the new GXP model two transmissions are available a 6-speed automatic and a 6 speed manual. The 6.2L V8 engine cranks out 415 horsepower making it the most powerful vehicle in the Pontiac fleet.
