The Ford Mustang celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2009
- and the 2009 Ford Mustang joins the party in style. With
a sporty retro look the Ford Mustang is one of the most
appealing sports cars on the market.
Available Models
There are several models available in Coupe and Convertible
from the Mustang GT to the Shelby. Returning for 2009 is
the Mustang Bullitt which receives a unique Highland Green
or black exterior paint, modified badging, revised cluster
with "gun sight" graphics, aluminum shifter ball
and accents throughout the interior.
Several packages are available including the "Warriors
in Pink" package designed to support Susan G. Komen
for the Cure - this package is available on the Mustang
V6 Premium coupe and convertible models.
Interior Features
The Mustang Coupe and Convertible both seat four. The gorgeous
interior is as sporty looking as the Mustang's exterior
- depending on the model the seating is either trimmed in
clothe or leather. The V6 Premium and GT Premium models
come with ambient interior lighting and a six gauge instrument
cluster with MyColor which allows the driver to select one
of 125+ custom colors for the instrument panel.
Exterior Features
The 2009 Ford Mustang continues to turn heads with its classic
sporty look. Several custom features are available that
distinguish the models and packages. The V6 and GT models
come with their own distinct grille and fascia; fog lights
come standard on the GT and are available for the V6 Premium
package. A rear deck spoiler comes standard on the GT and
is available for V6 models.
This year an optional glass roof is available on Premium
models which give the feel of driving a convertible while
maintaining the look of the coupe. A roller blind can be
used to block the light when desired.
Performance
Depending on the model of Mustang - one of two engines will
be found under the hood. Powering the Mustang V6 models
is a 210 horsepower 4.0L V6 engine available with 5-speed
manual or 5-speed automatic transmissions. For those who
crave more power the GT models get a fast 4.6L V8 that ups
the horsepower of the Mustang to 300 with 320 lb.-ft. of
torque - it also comes with 5-speed manual or automatic
transmissions.
Safety and Security
All Mustang model receive an impressive list of standard
safety features such as - dual front airbags, driver passenger
side impact airbags, SOS Post Crash Alert System, Tire Pressure
Monitoring System and AdvanceTrac® with Electronic Stability
Control.
All models feature remote keyless entry and are equipped
with SecuriLock® Passive Anti-Theft System.
