The 2003 Chrysler Sebring coupe joins the sedan and convertible
to round out the highly capable line of Sebring vehicles.
The speed champ of the lot, the coupe adds a dose of attitude
to the Sebring family. It produces high-octane fun while
at the same time offering all of the other practical features
found in responsible vehicles.
The Sebring coupe also receives a host of timely improvements
for the new model year. In the biggest change to the line
for 2003, the coupe gets revised styling inside and out
and is available for the first time with front side airbags.
Available Models
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring coupe is offered in two trim levels:
LX and LXi.
Interior Features
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring coupe is a two-door vehicle that
seats five passengers. Interior comfort and increased speed
are the two defining features that set the coupe apart from
its siblings. The base LX model has power everything, air
conditioning, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver
seat, remote keyless entry, an AM/FM radio with in-dash
4-disc CD changer, illuminated visor mirrors and map lights.
Stepping up to the LXi trim gets you a lot more power and
even more standard appointments. It adds a leather-wrapped
steering wheel with radio controls, a crisp Infinity sound
system, an outside-temperature indicator and a convenient
compass. Leather-trimmed seats are just one of many options
available.
Exterior Features
The 2003 Chrysler Sebring coupe has a smoothly contoured
form to slice through the wind. In addition, its jewel-like
headlamps enhance night driving by providing a broad, long
halogen beam.
Performance
There are two engines available with the Sebring coupe,
and there is quite a difference between the two. LX models
come with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 147
horsepower. LXi models feature a heavy infusion of power
with the engine under their hoods. They are equipped with
a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces up to 200 horsepower.
4-speed automatic transmission and 5-speed manual transmission
are both available.
MacPherson struts and an isolated crossmember in the front
give the Sebring coupe excellent road handling and less
transference of noise from the front wheels to the passenger
compartment.
Safety and Security
Dual front airbags and 4-wheel disc brakes are standard.
4-wheel disc antilock brakes with Low-Speed Traction Control
are optional, which help in hard braking situations by preventing
wheel lockup and help you get going again on slippery surfaces
