Visit Pontiac for more information on the Pontiac Grand Prix.

This year's 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix is the stronger, faster big-brother to the smaller, Grand Am Sedan. It is all about comfort and convenience but it has the heart, and engine, of a sports-car. A choice of three different V6 engines, actually; all of them powerful enough to make you instinctively reach for your seatbelt. Each engine choice is accompanied by a different set of performance components appropriate to the power package on board but none of the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix models skimp on luxury or handling ability. Pontiac Driving Excitement is here and it is called Grand Prix.

Available Models
The 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix comes as an SE, GT or top of the line GTS model. Available for this year on the GT and GTS models is the Limited Edition Package that offers some excellent stylistic extras that include a unique collection of interior and exterior features such as. Seats and paint-job are also enhanced.

Interior Features
Base SE comes with great features for a base model; including air conditioning, cruise control and AM/FM/CD player. The GT adds some luxurious extras with steering wheel radio controls and 6-way power driver seat. However, the pinnacle is the GTS with heads-up instrument display, leather-wrapped steering, 4-way power lumbar adjustment and a trip computer. The instrument panel for the Limited Edition has white gauges while the seats feature leather bolsters and cloth inserts.

On all models the rear split-bench seats fold down to allow a pass-through space from the trunk; an already capacious storage area. Interior occupants enjoy lots of legroom and headroom, even in the back, with comfortable seating for five adult passengers.

Exterior Features
The 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix has a strong history of popular and classic exterior styling and this year's model is no exception except perhaps in being even better. Items such as the rear spoiler add to the sporty look while the Limited Edition provides a number of exterior bonuses. Blue fog lights, white, silver or blue exterior, unique rear spoiler and chrome multi-spoke rims with Limited Edition center caps are all part of the package.

Performance
This is the fun part about the Grand Prix as it is all about performance. Each successive model has different V6 options but they all have lots under the hood. The SE has 175 hp at 5200rpm from its 3.1-liter V6 engine, which produces 195lb-ft of torque. The GT moves up to the 3.8-liter. It is a significant increase, with 200 hp and 225lb-ft of torque at the same rev level, 4000rpm. The GTS, at the top of the scale, is the real mover. With 240 hp at 5200rpm and 280lb-ft of torque at 3600rpm, the supercharged 3.8-liter V6 will rock you back into your seat with punchy acceleration and serious passing power at above highway speeds.

As for handling capability, the SE and GT editions have enhanced traction control and low-friction rack and pinion steering. The GTS goes one better full traction control and performance-driven sport suspension.

Safety and Security
Dual front airbags are standard on all three Grand Prix models as are 4-wheel disc brakes. However, the GTS also comes with an antilock braking system.
