The 2003 Dodge Intrepid has the look of a car that wants
to take off at any moment. Sleek and elegant, it appears
as though it will simply slice through the wind. Once you
get inside, press down on the accelerator and shoot away,
you'll realize it was designed that way for a reason. And
then when you feel how the Intrepid handles, an even wider
grin will spread across your face.
When the people at Dodge decided to re-enter Winston Cup
racing, they chose the Intrepid to represent the brand because
of its agile performance and because of its power. And though
the street version can't boast the same specs as the Winston
Cup racer, it can certainly hang with the faster cars on
the road. Buckle up and try one out for size.
Available Models
The 2003 Dodge Intrepid is offered in two trim levels: SE,
ES and SXT.
Interior Features
The 2003 Dodge Intrepid has four doors, yet it has the ability
to seat six. This is possible with an optional front bench
seat. The mere fact that the Intrepid can seat three adults
across the front should give you an idea of the spaciousness
on the inside.
The entry-level SE model provides air conditioning, cloth
upholstery, front bucket seats, a center console, cupholders,
power mirrors, windows and door locks, a rear defogger,
an AM/FM/cassette, a digital clock, floormats and more.
With the ES and SXT, cruise control, an 8-way power driver
seat, a split folding rear seat, remote keyless entry and
an AM/FM/CD player are added. Check out the options list
if you want to spice things up.
Exterior Features
The sleek style of the 2003 Dodge Intrepid has already been
mentioned. And it really does cut through the air as you
power down the roadway.
Performance
Dodge's full-size sedan shuffles its high-performance models

24-valve engine with 250 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 250

In other words, the 2003 Dodge Intrepid can really move.
4-speed automatic transmission is mated to all three engines,
providing smooth shifting acceleration.

Dual front airbags, 4-wheel disc brakes and an emergency
inside trunk release are all standard. Antilock brakes and
front side airbags are both available at a modest extra
