The Buick company is over one hundred years old and for
the 11th straight year the LeSabre is the best-selling full-size
car in the US market. In other words, things are going very
well for Buick and its flagship sedan. To celebrate this,
Buick has decided to offer the LeSabre Celebration Edition
model for yet another year.
The Celebration Edition, which was highly popular with
customers in the 2003 model year, retains all the features
of the 2004 Buick LeSabre Limited plus a unique exterior
and interior trim, additional equipment and special paint.
The rest of the model lineup also gets some upgrades for
2004, including new exterior colors, new interior colors
and new seat cloths.
Available Models
The 2004 Buick LeSabre is offered in two model trims-Custom
and Limited-plus the aforementioned Celebration Edition.
Interior Features
The 2004 Buick LeSabre is a spacious four-door sedan capable
of seating six. The 2004 LeSabre may well be the quietest
model yet, as it receives enhanced acoustic material in
the doors, quarter panels and trunk area to further dampen
road noise.
All 2004 Buick LeSabre models have Buick's Convenience
Plus package, which includes power windows and door locks,
cruise control, theater dimming, lockout protection, an
auxiliary power outlet and more.
A special Prestige Package is available with LeSabre Limited
models. It adds such things as automatic dual-zone climate
control, leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, moisture-sensing
wipers, OnStar direct-link driver assistance and navigation
system and a universal transmitter for activating remote
systems such as garage door openers.
Exterior Features
The 2004 Buick LeSabre features a host of new colors. Platinum
Metallic, Glacier Blue Metallic and Steelmist Metallic models
will all roll off the production line for the first time
this year. With the Celebration Edition, you can choose
unique Crimson Pearl, Light Bronzemist or White Gold Flash
premium exterior paint.
Performance
Under the stylish hood of the Buick LeSabre lies a 3.8-liter
Series II V6 engine. It will crank out 205 horsepower at
5200 rpm and 230 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. 4-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive comes standard, giving the LeSabre
a fuel rating of 20/29 mpg (city/highway).
Gran Touring suspension gives the LeSabre a sporty, stable
ride at all speeds, while power rack-and-pinion steering
lets you handle the sedan with hardly any effort at all.
With the Celebration Edition you also get StabiliTrak, an
advanced integrated vehicle stability control system that
helps the driver maintain control in a skid or slide.
Safety and Security
Antilock four-wheel disc brakes are standard. So are dual
front airbags, battery rundown protection and daytime running
lights. Limited models also feature seat-mounted side airbags.
