The four-door Sable Wagon boasts several new

stop light, auto-dimming rear view mirror with compass (available
as an option of the GS Plus and LS Premium), and security
approach lighting on all models. The LS Premium has the

The Mercury Sable Wagon features a rear liftgate
that makes the loading and unloading of luggage, groceries,
and other cargo simple. Each vehicle is finished with bright
jeweled headlights and taillights, plus standard sixteen-inch
alloy wheels. The LS Premium boasts seven-spoke alloy wheels.

Starting off with the Mercury Sable GS Wagon,
it carries a 3.0-litre, OHV, 12-valve Vulcan V6 engine that
produces 155 horsepower and 185 lbs-ft of torque. The Sable
LS Wagon cruises along with a 3.0-litre, 24-valve, Duratec
V6 engine with 200 horsepower and 200 lbs-ft of torque.
The standard transmission on each of the front-wheel drive
Sable Wagons is a highly responsive four-speed automatic
transmission. Overall, performance is crisp and quiet.
Safety and Security
The 2002 Mercury Sable Wagon has scored a five-star
crash test rating for both driver and front passenger sides.
Every vehicle is built with a driver depowered air bag,
passenger depowered air bag, three-point seatbelts, head
