Visit Honda for more information on the Honda Odyssey.

Now you can buy a fully decked-out Honda minivan with loads of safety features, advanced powertrain components and a decadent interior filled with comfort features. The name of this entry? The brand-new Touring model.

The addition of the Touring model is just one of the many changes for the Odyssey this year, as Honda gives the minivan a full redesign. Everything from the underbody to the interior has been upgraded, as the manufacturer proclaims a new age.

Available Models
The 2005 Honda Odyssey is available in four models: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. LX and EX models are covered separately.

Interior Features
The roomy Odyssey is now more spacious than ever. Though the exterior doesn't change, interior space grows an inch in width, two inches in length. Maximum seating is for eight.

EX-L models are quite loaded with features in their own right, but they don't top the new Touring trim. Still, they have leather seating, heated front seats, a power sunroof, front dual-zone automatic climate controls, heated power mirrors, an in-dash 6-disc CD changer and steering-wheel radio controls.

The Touring trim has a front and rear-obstacle detection system, as well as a second-row floor console, power-adjustable pedals and a 115-volt A/C power outlet. Touring models can be completely decked out if need be, with a DVD package that also includes a navigation system with voice recognition capability, a rearview camera and satellite radio.

Exterior Features
Touring models have 17.5-inch wheels with run-flat tires, plus a tire-pressure monitor.

Performance
EX-L and Touring models use a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 255 horsepower at 5750 rpm and 250 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm. Mated to it is a new 5-speed automatic transmission.

The 3.5-liter V6 used by uplevel Odysseys is unique because it is the first-ever application of Honda's Variable Cylinder Management system in a minivan. It deactivates three cylinders when cruising or decelerating to save fuel, resulting in fuel ratings of 20/28 mpg (city/highway).

This year's Odyssey has bigger tires, larger and stronger bushings and revised shock absorber placement/tuning on the double wishbone rear suspension.

EX-L and Touring models also use Honda's new Active Control Engine Mount System (ACM) and Active Noise Control (ANC) technology. They work in tandem to eliminate noise and vibration.

Safety and Security
Honda's commitment to safety has never been more apparent than with this year's Odyssey. All models now have the following standard equipment: dual front airbags, front side airbags, curtain side airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes with brake assist and an antiskid system.
