Visit Honda for more information on the Honda S2000.

The S2000 is a performance-oriented convertible sports car that won't require you to sacrifice your entire bank account just to get one. Like other Hondas, it has a full trophy chest. Last year, the S2000 received Car & Driver magazine's prestigious "10Best Car" award along with being voted Edmunds.com "Editor's Most Wanted Convertible under $35,000."

Perfect for zipping around town or for nice Sunday drives, the 2005 Honda S2000 provides an exhilarating ride for its owners. With the top down, you get to feel the breeze in your hair as the countryside zooms by.

2005 doesn't see any changes to the S2000.

Available Models
The 2005 Honda S2000 is offered as a sole model.

Interior Features
Being a two-seater, the 2005 Honda S2000 isn't exactly known for its roominess and cargo-carrying versatility. Still, two ride very comfortably, and you can fit a pair of golf bags in the trunk.

The key to the interior is the driver's seat. Its design was inspired by a Formula 1 racecar's cockpit with a driver-oriented control layout and large performance oriented digital gauges. At the center of it all is a read "Start" button.

Standard features include air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, leather upholstery, bucket seats, a center console, power mirrors, windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, an AM/FM/CD player, a digital clock and a rear defogger.

Exterior Features
The 2005 Honda S2000's appeal lies in its top. The sports car uses a power soft top and heated glass rear window, though a removable aluminum hardtop is available through Honda dealers.

For flare and performance, the S2000 uses Xenon headlights, 215/45WR17 front tires, 245/40WR17 rear tires and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Performance
The 2005 Honda S2000's power is derived from a 2.2-liter inline 4-cylinder engine. It produces 240 horsepower at 7200 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque at 6200 rpm. The dual overhead cam I4 features Honda's Variable Valve-Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC)(TM) technology to provide maximum power and efficiency at both low and high engine speeds.

6-speed manual transmission is standard. The longitudinally-mounted transmission uses a compact design that features a direct shift linkage with class-leading feel and short throws.
The rear-wheel-drive S2000 has a torque-sensing limited-slip rear differential for excellent traction in both performance and inclement weather situations. It also uses a hybrid monocoque body for exceptional torsional and bending rigidity. The in-wheel double wishbone suspension (front and rear) is great under hard cornering.

Safety and Security
A theft-deterrent system, dual front airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes and an emergency inside trunk release are all standard.
