A solid and successful reputation has been earned by the
Jeep Wrangler Sport and holds the glory of being one of
the original SUV's in the industry. The overall boxy appearance
has not changed all that much over the years and it has
managed to maintain a distinct personality and high resale
value.
Available Models
The 2002 Jeep Wrangler is available in four different
models so that you may easily choose which one is best for
you - the Jeep Wrangler SE, Jeep Wrangler X, Jeep Wrangler
Sport, and the Jeep Wrangler Sahara.
Interior Features
With a seating capacity of four passengers, two-door
entry, and ample headroom, the Jeep Wrangler boasts luxuries
and amenities that include reclining vinyl front bucket
seats, a sport bar with padded sidebars, and handy cargo
tie down loops.
The Jeep Wrangler X adds cloth high back reclining front
bucket seats, a tip and slide passenger seat, and a fold
and tumble rear seat. An AM/FM stereo with CD player and
rear overhead sound bar with two speakers are also pleasant
standards, and the sport bar is padded all around.
Rounding things out, the Wrangler Sahara features premium
cloth high back reclining front bucket seats, a steering
wheel wrapped in leather, an AM/FM stereo with CD player
and seven speakers, and air conditioning completes the package
in comfort.
Exterior Features
Each Jeep Wrangler comes with a folding soft
top with soft windows, so you can cruise around and have
some fun in the sun. Fold-away exterior mirrors are also
part of the package.
The Jeep Wrangler Sport headlines the addition of front
fog lights, full height metal doors with roll-up windows,
and matching removable folding rear seat. It has also been
equipped with two tow hooks in the front and one in the
rear. Jeep Wrangler Sahara features handy black body side
steps, front fog lights, and dark tinted sunscreen glass.
Performance
Many Wrangler enthusiasts just like the look
and feel of this fun vehicle, but it also hefts some pretty
amazing capabilities when it comes to powering over tough
back roads. The first model, the Jeep Wrangler SE Sport
Utility, is built with a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder engine
with five-speed manual transmission with overdrive and CommandTrac
part-time four-wheel drive. The brakes are front disc/rear
drum, and the tires are all-terrain SBR. The fuel consumption
rating checks in at 19/20 mpg (city/hwy).
The Jeep Wrangler X adds the powerful advantage of a 4.0-litre
engine that pumps out 190 horsepower.
Safety and Security
Each of the Jeep Wrangler Sport Utility models
list safety measures that include a driver side air bag,
three-point seatbelts, sport bar overhead, and a front passenger
side air bag.
