Available Models
Three models of the 2002
Chevrolet Blazer are available, first up is the Blazer LS
available with two or four-door and two or four-wheel-drive
configurations.
Next in line is the two-door, two-wheel
drive Blazer Xtreme, it sports a more aggressive exterior
accentuated with wheel flares, lower body cladding and a
lower body front fascia with fog lamps giving the Xtreme
a lower to the road look.
The third model is the 2002 Chevrolet
Blazer ZR2 4X4, it has a higher and wider stance and is
designed to handle rougher terrain.
Interior Features
The 2002 Chevrolet Blazer has a comfortable,
roomy interior with an interior cargo-carrying space up
to 67.8 cu. ft when the split-folding rear seats are folded
down. The LS four-door model comes standard with a 60/40
split-bench front seat and a seating capacity of six. Front
bucket seats are available as an option in either cloth
or leather. The LS two-door, Xtreme and ZR2 models come
standard with front bucket seats and a seating capacity
of five. Air conditioning comes standard on all models and
a convenience group is available as an option with cruise
control, tilt steering, power door locks and windows with
electric remote heated exterior mirrors.
Exterior Features
With it's model variations - the 2002 Chevrolet
Blazer covers all appearance angles. With it's ground effects
and rocker cladding the Blazer Extreme gives a low, cruise-the-strip
appearance. An available strip package enhances it's sporty
appearance. In the opposite direction the Blazer ZR2 gives
a more rugged, tougher appearance with it's reinforced wide-stance
sport suspension.
The Blazer LS and Blazer ZR2 models come with a standard
roof mount luggage rack, foglamps are standard on the Xtreme
and available as an option on the other models. An optional
electric sunroof is available on all models.
All three of the Chevrolet Blazer models come with two-sided
galvanized-steel body panels to prevent corrosion.
Performance
Chevrolet has equipped all of it's Blazers with a Vortec
4300 V6 SFI engine, ranked at 190hp at 4400 rpm, and 250
lb-ft of torque at 2800 rpm. A 5 speed manual transmission
is standard on all two door models, while a 4 speed automatic
comes standard on the 4-door Blazer LS and is available
as and option on all other models.
Safety
and Security
Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc
brakes, front and rear crush zones designed to help absorb
the energy of a front or rear impact, side-door beams and
front-passenger air bags. Child security rear-door locks
come standard on the 4-door Blazer LS.
PASSlock Theft-Deterrent System comes standard on all Blazer
models, PASSlock automatically disables the vehicle's fuel
system if the proper key is not used. Remote keyless entry
and lockout protection are available as options on all models.
